Beautiful Lady Natalie Ewaen Usen made a post on her Facebook timeless, few days ago discussing on a statement made by @MissEbonyDiva to her husband Thin Tall Tony, as he returns from the BBNaija house in South Africa.

No 1. Every woman has the right to die in a abusive marriage if she so chooses -forgive my extreme words but just so you know the extent. 

No 2. Every woman is an adult who should be capable of making informed decisions for her life. If she wants to live with a fuckboy, it’s her choice. If she reaches out to you for help, fine. The best you can do is counsel her -if she’s willing to hear- and help her build her self esteem.”

“The decision remains HERS at the end of the day. She may be a broken adult making broken decisions but there’s nothing anyone can do -unless she invites you in. 

Personally, a man denies his entire family on International television all to score some cheap points, get laid and get paid is the scum of the Earth but if he has a wife who welcomes him with open arms, then goodluck to them!”

The mindset behind the applause is how society has managed to keep many women in sad situations called marriage.

Just for the records, a “good woman” is not a woman who welcomes a philandering man with open arms and open legs. That’s not what constitutes a good woman. Tonto tried it but then, for how long.

A strong woman is not a woman who cannot demand for better from those around -especially her spouse. She’s not the one who plays the role of a doormat or a mute doll. Can we change that narrative already???

The danger with elevating such actions/mindsets is that it not only breeds more bad behaviour leading to toxic and abusive marriages, it actually gives women a wacked vision to aspire to. 

We should be raising the standards everyday, not looking for newer ways to flatten and obliterate it.

This is why i emphasize: live without caring about our psychologically imbalanced opinions as Nigerians. 

As for these two people, God bless their “new” home.
