Comedy Central’s Grab The Mic Nigeria
According to analysts, Nigeria’s comedy business is worth over N50 billion annually, and it is against this background that comedy central is partnering with Maltina to discover Nigeria’s next biggest comedy star, who will be positioned to harness the endless possibilities inherent in the comedy industry.
Grab The Mic is a nationwide campaign with auditions already concluded in Lagos. Port Harcourt is the next stop, from which we will proceed to Jos. The outstanding talents, who impressed the judges in the first round, will also perform to a live audience at q pop-up comedy club in these cities.
Winners from each city will be placed in the final showdown in Lagos, where a sudden death challenge will occur and the numbers will be trimmed down to one; out of the Grab The Mic champion will emerge.
Participant stands the chance of winning the Grand prize of 1.5 Million and share the stage with Ali Baba. Hosted by Seyi law and chaired by Ali Baba alongside other judges such as Osam and Wofai Fada.
